Aim Transportation Solutions is honored to share that the Best Practice Institute (BPI) has certified Aim as a Most Loved Workplace®. Based on employee feedback and responses, this certification spotlights companies where employees are happiest and most satisfied at work.

If you were to ask any Aim employee, whether in the hallway, stepping out of a truck or working under the hood, what they love most about Aim, nine times out of ten they’ll have the same answer: the people. Aim’s family-owned legacy began more than 120 years ago. In 1903, J.V. McNicholas, grandfather of Aim’s owner, founder and current chairman/CEO, Tom Fleming, geared up his horse and buggy to haul meat and luggage from rail yards in Youngstown, OH. Just a few short years later, that modest enterprise grew into a full-fledged hauling business.

After deregulation in 1980, McNicholas Transportation branched into leasing trucks. Tom Fleming managed this division, known as Aim NationaLease, and its 25 trucks. In 1982, Mr. Fleming purchased the leasing division and moved it to 1500 Trumbull Avenue in Girard, OH, where Aim’s headquarters stands today as home to the nation’s largest privately owned truck leasing companies with a fleet of more than 11,000 vehicles across the country.

This rich family history is at the heart of how Aim takes care of its customers, communities and, of course, employees, and those employees came out in full force to let the nation know by voting Aim as a Most Loved Workplace®.

The one-month Most Loved Workplace® campaign kicked off at the beginning of May. Communications went out to Aim’s roughly 1,000 employees across the nation asking them to complete BPI’s survey. Not only did Aim receive an overwhelming response, but it was an overwhelmingly positive response.

The Most Loved Workplace® certification is backed by the research and analysis of the BPI. This certification provides the most comprehensive look at workplace sentiment for organizations today. The BPI certified Aim as a Most Loved Workplace® based on its scores on the Love of Workplace Index™. This system surveyed employees on various elements concerning employee satisfaction and sentiment, including the level of respect, collaboration, support, and sense of belonging they feel inside the company.
